The President stated that the claim of the Americans that they are looking for help to Gaza and establishing a ceasefire is a lie and is not compatible with their actions, saying, "What we are seeing from the Americans in action is that they are vetoing the suggested resolutions in the Security Council, and they are actually allowing Zionists to commit more killings".

Dr Raisi: Contrary to their claims, Americans' actions allows Zionists to commit more crimes/ Political, economic, security ties of the two countries improving day by day/ Al-Sudani: Those who want scope of crisis not to expand should put pressure on Zionist regime to stop its crimes/ We won't allow any group from Iraq to pose a threat to Iran

Speaking in a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia' Al-Sudani, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stated that relations between the two countries are improving day by day in the field of political issues, and stated, "Another area of cooperation between the two countries is in the field of security issues and I must appreciate Mr Al-Sudani's efforts to implement the security agreement between the two countries".
Appreciating the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Iraqi government towards the implementation of this agreement, the President added, "We hope that this agreement will be fully implemented and operational".
Dr Raisi stated that the two countries have taken good measures in the field of economic cooperation to expand and improve the level of trade interactions and exchanges, and stated, "Good steps have been taken to develop trade relations, especially in the field of industrial towns on the border of the two countries and cooperation in the field of joint production. I must also appreciate the efforts of Mr Al-Sudani and the Iraqi government to complete the Shalamcheh-Basra railway line, which is one of the most important routes, the establishment of which has many benefits for both countries".
Referring to the joint positions of Iran and Iraq regarding the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the people of Palestine and Gaza, the President said, "Both countries clearly emphasise that the attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza should be stopped as soon as possible and that the people should be provided with relief by lifting the blockade".
Dr Raisi described the terrible attacks of the Zionist regime as a crime against humanity and an example of mass genocide and infanticide, which is carried out with the support of the Americans and a number of European countries, and noted, "Unfortunately, the weapons, intelligence and financial aid of the Americans to the Zionist regime encourages killings and brutal actions against the Palestinian people".
Dr Raisi added, "The truth is that after the struggle and standing of the resistance movement against the Zionist regime and the defeat they inflicted on them, this regime has collapsed, the Americans want to keep this regime standing. The estimation of the whole world is that the Palestinian nation has won, and killing children and women and destroying people's houses is not considered a victory for the Zionist regime; In other words, crimes against humanity and genocide cannot compensate for the disgraceful failure of the Zionist regime".
The President emphasised that today the Islamic countries, the region and the world and everyone who believes in God, human conscience and the judgment of history, must know that they cannot be held accountable for their silence in the face of these crimes in the presence of God, human conscience and history.
He stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to cooperate with any action at the level of Islamic countries, regional countries and in the international stage to prevent the continuation of the crimes of the Zionist regime and the American ruling body for the killing of the innocent, oppressed and powerful people of Gaza".
In the end, Dr Raisi appreciated Mr Al-Sudani's constructive and rightful positions on the Palestinian issue and the declaration of the Iraqi government's position from the beginning of this crisis, and hoped that the views and efforts of the two countries would be effective and open the way for effective measures to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime.

In this press conference, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, discussed and exchanged opinions about the latest developments in Gaza and the pursuit of bilateral understandings and interactions between Iran and Iraq, among the reasons for his visit to Tehran.

Condemning the organised and mass killing of the people of Gaza, he announced support for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people for the liberation of their land and the formation of an independent Palestinian state with the capital of Al-Quds as Iraq's principled position regarding the Palestinian issue.

Regarding Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Prime Minister of Iraq called the operation a reaction to the criminal policies of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation in killing and displacing Palestinians, building settlements and desecrating the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and said, "For many years, the residents of Gaza have been imprisoned in a large prison before the eyes of the world and no action is done for the implementation of the international resolutions regarding this region".

Al-Sudani continued to described the unprecedented crimes of the usurping Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, especially the killing of defenseless and oppressed women and children using the most advanced weapons, as a sign of the weakness, failure and inability of international institutions to fulfill their duties and obligations and said, "Those who want the scope this crisis not to expand to all over the region, must put pressure on the Zionist regime to stop this aggression and organised killing".

Emphasising the positions of Iran and Iraq on the necessity of a quick stop to the bombings and the killing of the oppressed people of Gaza, the Iraqi Prime Minister pointed out his country's efforts to play a political role in this field, as well as the reopening of the crossings for sending humanitarian aid, and made a proposal to form Gaza reconstruction fund and Iraq's readiness to participate in it.
