The President issued the order to start the official operation of the largest construction project in Fars province in the form of the second water supply line to Shiraz metropolis from Dorudzan Dam.
Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, following the plans of the second day of the Popular Administration’s provincial visit to Fars province, officially opened the second water supply line to Shiraz from Dorudzan Dam as the largest construction project in Fars province.
This water transmission line is built with a length of 78 kilometres of steel pipes, a pumping station, 4,422 meters of tunnels and 3 concrete tanks with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters each.
The transfer capacity of the second water supply line to Shiraz is 3,000 litters per second, which supplies the water needs of approximately 40% of the population of Shiraz.
The cost of this plan is 650 billion tomans, which is estimated to be worth 6 trillion tomans today.
