Stating that the recent developments showed that no solution can solve this problem without paying attention to the rights of the Palestinian people, the President stated, "There is no doubt that the recent crimes of the Zionists are carried out with the green light of the supporters of this regime, but these actions will not bring them close to their goals, but will cause the expansion and intensification of insecurity in the region and the world”.

 Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mr Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, had a telephone conversation on Wednesday evening.
In this conversation, Dr Raisi stated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to deepening and strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia based on the principle of the unity of the World of Islam and neighbourliness, and we believe that the relations between the two sides have the capacity to help stabilise, strengthen and promote the security and stability of the region”.
Referring to the common beliefs and interests of the two countries, especially in issues related to the Islamic Ummah, the President stressed the importance of using the potentials of the World of Islam to stop the Zionist Regime's war crimes, adding, “Iran and Saudi should must support the oppressed Muslim nation of Palestine as two key players at the current critical juncture”.

Dr Raisi emphasised the duty of the Islamic Ummah to defend the oppressed people of Palestine and stated, “The root cause of the recent tensions should be found in the continuous oppression and systematic discrimination of the Zionist apartheid system against the oppressed people of Palestine, which of course failed to undermine the determination of these people to defend their rights, and today we are witnessing strikes by the Resistance to the usurping Zionist Regime”.
The President stated that the extremist cabinet of the Zionist Regime is taking revenge for its historic defeat against the defenceless and oppressed people and in a shameless act has cut off water and electricity and the delivery of fuel and medicine to the people of Gaza, saying, “Islamic countries have a duty to stop the crimes of the Zionists against the Palestinians faster with cooperation and convergence. Iran and Saudi Arabia can help provide the legal rights of Palestinians and stop the aggression and crimes of the Zionist Regime”.
Dr Raisi described the current situation of the region to be the result of repeated miscalculations of Western countries, America at the head of them, and stated, “The only basic solution to the Palestinian problem as the main problem of the region is to pay attention to the rights of the oppressed people of this land, based on which and according to the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all Palestinians should be able to determine their future in a democratic process and in a free and fair election”.

In this telephone conversation, Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while praising the mutual efforts of the two countries to strengthen stability in the region, especially considering the recent developments in Palestine, said, “The revival of bilateral relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia is the beginning of the process of cooperation and convergence and I am happy that today good efforts are being made in the direction of developing relations”.
The Saudi Crown Prince described the recent events in Gaza as painful and dangerous, stating, “What is happening regarding the violation of the rights of the Palestinians can lead to the intensification of insecurity in other regions of the world, including Western countries”.
Mohammed bin Salman pointed out that today everyone, including the Western countries, have well understood that failure to resolve the Palestinian issue can create many problems for themselves, and added, “Tehran-Riyadh cooperation can play an effective role in stopping the conflicts as quickly as possible and then finding a just solution for the fundamental settlement of the Palestinian issue”.
