Emphasising on facilitating the communication of Iranians abroad with the set of executive and governance institutions, the President obliged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the communication and exchange of information of this group of Iranian citizens by using the platform of the national window of Smart Government services.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs should provide exchange of communications, information of Iranians abroad on the basis of national window of Smart Government services/ Legal authorities, judges, banks, legal units of administrative bodies should recognise all electronic documents according to the law

Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, in the 26th meeting of the Executive Council of Information Technology, which was held before noon on Monday, called the completion of the Smart Government plan one of the important priorities.
The President listed the promotion of transparency, fight against corruption, administration of justice, development of communication, accurate collection of information and creation of employment as among the advantages of completing the smart government in the country, and emphasised on connecting the devices that have not been connected so far and for any reason as quickly as possible.
Dr Raisi described the considerations of some institutions in providing information as serious obstacles to the realisation of digital governance, and referring to issues such as security on the part of these institutions as the reason for not connecting to the portal of smart government services, he ordered a task force composed of experts from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Supreme Council of Cyberspace and the Executive Council of Communication Technology at the National Centre of Cyberspace to review and verify the evidence of these departments.

Dr Raisi also reminded all the legal authorities, judges, banks and legal units of the administrative bodies to recognise all electronic documents according to this law and in order to facilitate the affairs of the people.
The President also referred to the importance of the national communication network, while appreciating the actions of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to realise this plan, and emphasised the need to accelerate the completion of this important national plan.
In this meeting, with the presence of the President, three resolutions were approved by the members, including the requirements for upgrading the rank in electronic development indicators.
