The President described and clarified the unity of the armed forces of our country with the people as a strategic extension of the Islamic Republic in the region and the world, saying, "Today, in the doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran, there is no domination over others, but maintaining military readiness with a defensive approach, is the definite policy for stable security and reassuring accountability".
Speaking on Friday morning during the parade of the armed forces, which was held on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Sacred Defence, near the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi reminded the bravery, courage, sacrifice, standing and resistance of the great nation of Iran and the armed forces against the enemies.
The President stated that this week and these days are the occasion to honour all the armed forces for their stand and resistance, whose presence was a source of hope for the Iranian nation and a source of despair for the enemies, and added, "Indeed, the Sacred Defence had many memorable features and lessons of the Sacred Defence was a manifestation of belief in God, sincerity and acting for God, standing and maintaining the strongholds".
Pointing out that we witnessed a lot of glory in the Sacred Defence, Dr Raisi said, "The presence of exemplary mothers and wives who sent their children and husbands to the fronts of the battle of right against wrong was also one of the manifestations of the glory of the Sacred Defence".
Dr Raisi added, "Our people always love the armed forces of their country, because they feel that they are by their side at all times and in difficulties. Our IRGC and Army are with the people at all stages and hardships, natural disasters, floods and earthquakes".
The President listed people's belief as one of the characteristics of the armed forces of our country and noted, "In the Sacred Defence, although it was our armed forces who sacrificed their lives, but in fact it was the people who managed the Sacred Defence and always supported the armed forces and will continue to support them in various fields".
Dr Raisi described self-confidence as one of the characteristics and lessons of the Sacred Defence and said, "Sanctions and pressures did not allow our armed forces to be equipped with the necessary weapons, but by learning from the experience of the Sacred Defence, we decided to be equipped with advanced weapons under the guidance of our visionary leader".
The President added, "Sacred Defence Week is a reminder of this self-belief and our armed forces shout with all their might that we can and display this capability in front of everyone".
Dr Raisi continued, "Today, the Islamic Republic has been able to achieve great progress in other areas within the context of this important infrastructure, that is, capable and powerful armed forces".
Stating that all these capabilities and achievements have been achieved with the help of relying on the country's internal capabilities and young people, the President clarified, "Many heads of foreign countries who meet with me are aware of this level of progress of Iran and the achievement and expresses surprise of this level of knowledge and technology".
Dr Raisi pointed out, "These developments and capabilities are due to the fact that the Iranian nation wants to stand on its own feet and, while maintaining and enhancing its independence and freedom, introduce the Islamic Republic to the world as a successful model of governance that combines spirituality with politics".
The President stated that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have a place in the hearts of the people and by relying on this support of the people, they were able to defend the system of the Islamic Republic and their soil and territory powerfully against the enemy, and said, "Today, we can teach all the people of the region that victory is in resistance and standing".

Dr Raisi stated, "Today, in the doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran, there is no war or domination over others, but maintaining military readiness with a defensive approach is a definite and practical policy for stable security and reassuring deterrence".
The President emphasised, "The government considers itself obliged to assist and accompany the armed forces in all fields in equipping and handling the personnel of the armed forces as irreplaceable assets of the country".
Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran's declarative and practical policy of strengthening neighbourhood relations, Dr Raisi said, "One of the manifestations of the policy of strengthening Iran's neighbourly relations, in addition to commercial, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, is defence, security and military cooperation".
The President stated that our armed forces are ready to cooperate with all countries in the region to build trust and reassurance, and added, "We have always stated that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran warmly shake the hands of all the armed forces of the region who are ready to cooperate with us".
Dr Raisi pointed out that the powerful armed forces of Iran are present in the region to prevent any changes in the geopolitics of the region and changes in the borders, and they have succeeded in this task, he said, "Regarding the developments in the region, we emphasise that the rights of Armenians and respect for the present Armenians are a necessity, so that the security and rights of Armenians must be maintained in the region and the state of the borders must be fully maintained".
The President stated, "In relation to Iraq, the beginning of disarmament at the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a positive move that the Iraqi government has started. The Honourable Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces has sent delegations to ensure the disarmament of armed groups in the border areas. No group near the border of Iran has the right to have weapons, and we will not allow any separatist group to incite sedition against the Islamic Republic of Iran at the border points, or inside the region, or anywhere else, so ensuring the complete disarmament of illegal armed people around the border is necessary".
Dr Raisi also referred to the ongoing efforts to normalise relations between the Zionist regime and some governments in the region and noted, "We have repeatedly stated that the normalisation of relations with some countries in the region will in no way create security for the Zionist regime".
Dr Raisi said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly announced that the solution to the Palestinian issue is not the normalisation of relations, the Camp David, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Oslo agreements. The basic solution to this problem is the same solution that the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution said, and this solution has been registered in the United Nations. Based on this solution, every Palestinian, whether Muslim, Jew, or Christian, can form the desired government of the Palestinian people with their vote; This is the way out of the basic problem of the region, not the solutions that the Americans and the Zionist regime are pursuing".
In the final part of his speech, the President expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the armed forces with the government and the executive bodies of the country, saying, "This unity and coherence of the country's institutions under the supervision of the supreme commander and the wise leader of the Islamic revolution is the best way to overcome the problems".
