The President described the existing capacities for developing Iran-Uganda cooperation to be very diverse and stated, "If the mutual capacities are well identified by the business community of the two countries, the exchange of these capacities can solve many of the mutual needs of Iran and Uganda".
As part of his travel plans to Uganda, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the meeting the business community of the two countries on Wednesday evening, and stated, "In the meetings and consultations with the President and high officials of Uganda, we decided to develop the economic and commercial relations between the two countries, and it was decided that the relevant institutions in Iran and Uganda should redouble their efforts to remove all possible obstacles and problems in the development of relations and facilitating cooperation between the two countries".

Dr Raisi emphasised the importance of holding meetings in order to accurately identify the obstacles to the expansion and facilitation of cooperation and to provide the necessary solutions in this field, saying, "The current amount of trade and economic relations between Iran and Uganda are not acceptable to either of the two countries, while it is easy to increase the amount of trade between the two countries to 10 times the current volume".
The President also urged the business community of Iran and Uganda to use all their efforts to compensate for the shortcomings in increasing trade and economic exchanges between the two countries.
