Dr Raisi ordered the central bank to investigate the problem of those applicants who failed to receive housing construction loans within the next week and take action to solve it.
Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, in the meeting of the Supreme Housing Council, which was held before noon on Saturday, while expressing his satisfaction with the action of the Housing Foundation to build 250 thousand rural housing, and emphasised on accelerating the process of completing and handing over the projects of the National Housing Movement.
Stating that the timely payment of loans is one of the important and accelerating factors of housing construction, the President described the process of paying these loans to be far from the desired point and emphasised the greater diligence of banks and the Central Bank's follow-up monitoring in this regard.

The President called the reduction of the bank interest rate for housing loans from 23% to 18% as a positive but insufficient measure and said that the banking system should cooperate more with the applicants to repay these loans.
The President also pointed out some inconsistencies in the government agencies in the implementation of the HADI Scheme and obliged the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Economy to investigate the problem with the cooperation of the Housing Foundation and take action to solve it.
