President while receiving the credentials of the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Tehran:

Implementing Tehran-Ljubljana agreements essential for developing ties

Slovenian President's last year visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran brought about positive developments to the ties between the two countries, said President Rouhani while receiving letter of credence of the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Tehran.

At the meeting that took place on Tuesday in Tehran, Dr Rouhani also said that implementing Tehran-Ljubljana agreements was essential for deepening relations.

He went on to refer to the good potentials to cement ties between the two counties and said: "Relations between Iran and Slovenia have always been positive and I hope we witness further development of this ties in various fields of trade, politics, economy and culture".

He also expressed hope that in the term of office of the new Slovenian ambassador to Tehran, the two countries witness positive developments in relations and cooperation between the two nations and governments.

At the meeting, the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Tehran, Kristina Radej also presented her letter of credence to President Rouhani and said: "There is no obstacle on the path of developing Iran-Slovenia ties and we will spare no effort in deepening relations and implementing the agreements made between the two countries".
