President in a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Jordan:

Deepening Tehran-Amman ties beneficial to both nations, region/Boosting consultation, coordination among Islamic countries essential

"Iran is ready to deepen bilateral ties, as well as consultation and cooperation with Jordan to boost stability and security in the region," said President Rouhani in a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Jordan, Atef Tarawneh.

At the meeting that was held on Wednesday in Tehran, Dr Rouhani added: "Trying to solve the Palestinian issue, putting an end to displacement and resolving the countless problems of the Palestinian nation is a great burden on the shoulders of all, especially the neighbouring countries".

Describing Zionists' occupation as the root cause of the issues of the region, he said: "Intervention by major countries such as the U.S in the latest decades, has intensified the issues of the region, some instances being attacking and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq, inciting people in some countries of the region, and actions by the U.S in attempting to create a new Middle East".

He also said that terrorism was another problems imposed by the U.S and the Zionists on the region, adding: "Everybody knows who have created terrorists groups such as Al-Qaida, Daesh and Al-Nusra Front in the region, and for what reason".

"To confront imposed programs and preserve the security and stability of the region, first governments such as those of Iraq and Syria, which are fighting terrorism, must be supported," he said.

Stating that that the next step would be to settle the issues of the region through political ways by the people of those countries, Dr Rouhani added: "We believe that Jordan can have a constructive role in this field".

Iran spares no effort in combatting terrorism in the region, he said adding: "Currently, we are happy that terrorist in Iraq and Syria are weaker than ever".

At the same meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Jordan, Atef Tarawneh also appreciated Iran for hosting the 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada and said: "Amman seeks to deepen and cement ties with Tehran in all fields".

"Amman is using all its power supporting the Palestinian people and to prevent U.S' embassy being moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem," he said.

He also described terrorism as a great problem for the region and the Islamic World, added: "Preserving stability and restoring peace to Iraq and Syria will be a great achievement for the Islamic World and Jordan has always sought stability and peace in these two countries and will attempt to do so".
