Independent countries’ unity key to achieve common goals/Iran welcomes further ties with LatAm countries, esp. Bolivia in all fields

Unity among independent countries is essential to achieving common goals and Iran welcomes development of ties with Latin American countries, especially Bolivia in all fields of mutual interest, said President Rouhani in a meeting with the President of Bolivia Evo Morales on Saturday.

In the meeting that was held on the sidelines of the 17th NAM Summit in Margarita Island, Venezuela, Dr Rouhani said: “There are no restrictions on the path of development of Tehran-Sucre ties and strengthening these relations is beneficial to the two nations”.

Stressing Iran’s readiness to help advance development plans in Bolivia, he said: “In addition to public sectors, private sectors should be encouraged for investment and partnership, development of which van be fostered through banking cooperation”.

President of Bolivia Evo Morales also appreciated Iran for executing economic plans in his country and said: “With regard to successful implementation of these economic plans, we welcome further presence and participation of Iranian companies in advancing economic and construction plans in Bolivia”.

President Morales also invited President Rouhani to participate in the upcoming meeting of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) which is set to be held in Bolivia on January 2018.

The two sides also stressed joint efforts for stabilising oil market, fair prices and fair share.
