President while receiving new Belarusian ambassador’s credentials:

Deepening Tehran-Minsk ties a must/Stressing implementation of agreements on cooperation roadmap

Iran and Belarus have friendly ties with each other and deepening Tehran-Minsk ties is a must, said President Rouhani while receiving credentials of the new ambassador of Belarus to Tehran on Sunday.

In the ceremony that was held on Sunday, Dr Rouhani received Ambassador Yuri Lazarchik’s credentials and said: “We should plan to remove any possible obstacles on the path of development of economic ties between the two countries”.

Referring to a decision made by Iranian and Belarusian Presidents during Ufa Conference, he said: “Currently, this roadmap has been drafted and signed by authorities of the two countries and the two sides should attempt to put these agreements into action”.

President also expressed hope that Tehran-Minsk relations deepen in the future in all fields.

After presenting his credentials to Dr Rouhani, Ambassador Yuri Lazarchik said that ties between the two countries are based on mutual trust and respect, adding: “Today after this great achievement in Iran regarding nuclear negotiations, there is a good opportunity for development of Iran-Belarus relations that we should make the best use of”.
