Supporting Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)/The 3 countries to cement ties in banking, technology, transportation link, communication/Consultation on combating terrorism to continue

Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation issued the final statement of the Baku Summit and stressed their support of JCPOA.

In the joint communiqué that was issued late on Monday in Baku after the tripartite meeting, the three countries also stated that they are determined to develop ties in areas related to banking, transfer of technology, linking transportation networks and communication.

“The parties are determined to combat terrorism, extremism, organised transnational crimes, illegal trade of arms, drugs and its precursor, human trafficking, and intelligence-communication crimes,” stated President Rouhani, his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, and President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Stating that consultation on combating terrorism will continue between the three countries, the statement read: “The parties condemn all kinds of terrorism and underscore that bilateral and trilateral consultation on the current trend and review of effective ways to combat terrorism”.
