Iran-Armenia visa waiver regulations established/Cabinet reviews report on National Library’s performance/President underscores protecting historical manuscripts

The Council of Ministers convened late on Sunday at a regular weekly session and approved establishment of regulations regarding visa abolishment between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia.

The regulations are applied to diplomatic, service and regular passports, as well as travel documents.

The cabinet also reviewed a report on “Performance, Plans and Challenges of National Library and Archives of Islamic Republic of Iran”.

During the session, President Rouhani underscored the need to protect and preserve ancient manuscripts and emphasised the government’s support of the national assets, urging the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Company to encourage people to protect the manuscripts.

Employing champions of Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, World Championships and World Cups who have been conscripted for military service was another issue approved by the cabinet.
