President hosts Iftar dinner at the Presidency

President Rouhani hosted an Iftar dinner ceremony at the Presidency in which the staff of the presidential office attended.

During the ceremony that was held late on Sunday at the same time with Imam Ali’s (AS) martyrdom anniversary, Dr Rouhani described the honour of serving people as God’s great gift and, at the same time, very demanding.

“To thank God’s blessing, we need to make more efforts in serving the great and discerning Iranian nation who has nurtured great martyrs,” added the President.

He added: “The night of the 21st of Ramadan month is the night of martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS) whom all Shias are proud of and follow the path of”.

After the President told the tragic event of Imam Ali’s (AS) martyrdom, he led the Maghrib and Isha’a prayers.
