Rouhani: Gov’t committed to Iranian people, regardless of political, ethnic affiliations/Cabinet makes decisions on preventing smuggling/Iran, Azerbaijan, S. Korea to help each other in customs

The government is committed to the entire Iranian people regardless of their political and ethnic affiliations, said Dr Rouhani at a regular cabinet session held late on Sunday.

President Rouhani also stressed that providing people with services should be done in a way that is tangible for them.

The cabinet also appointed new governor generals for the two provinces of North and South Khorasan.

The Council of Ministers also approved the bill of amendments to the budget law of the current Iranian year, 1395.

The members of the cabinet also tasked the Headquarters for Fighting Goods and Forex Smuggling to cooperate with the respective organs to initiate the plan of the system of “Identifying and Fighting Smuggling” to further facilitate the fight against official and unofficial smuggling.

Moreover, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Planning was tasked to unify transportation information systems and systematically monitor transportation and set smart identification of goods.

The cabinet also discussed the phenomenon of dust and its harmful effects and approved forming the Headquarters for Fighting Dust to take necessary measures in this regard.

The bill of mutual administrative assistance in customs between the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea was also approved by the Council of Ministers.
