Iran, S. Africa ink 8 pacts

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of South Africa signed 8 Memorandums of Understanding and cooperation documents.

Undertaken in the presence of President Rouhani and South African President Jacob Zuma, the documents were signed by the high-ranking delegations of both countries on Sunday in Tehran.

The documents, which were signed between the two countries to accelerate bilateral cooperation, included a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of trade and industry, another one aimed at establishing a joint workgroup on investment, a cooperation agreement in agriculture, an MoU on water resource management, another cooperation agreement in the field of insurance, an MoU to exchange financial information related to money laundering, another Memorandum of Understanding between Iran Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and South Africa’s PetroSA and cooperation plans in the field of culture and art.
