Tehran-Ankara ink 8 MoUs, coop. agreements

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey signed 8 Memoranda of Understanding and cooperation agreements to further develop ties and relations.

The documents were signed by the high-ranking delegations of Iran and Turkey on Saturday in Ankara in the presence of President Rouhani and President Erdoğan.

An agreement was signed in the field of social security, an MoU was also inked regarding a ban on unauthorised import, export and transfer of cultural properties, as well as an MoU in the field of plant protection and plant quarantine.

The two countries also signed in the field of higher education, another one between University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services of Iran and Justice Academy of Turkey, an MoU between Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, as well as standardisation, conformity assessment and metrology of education agreement.

The Justice Ministries of Iran and Turkey also issued a joint statement of good will.
