Iran, Italy ink 6 MoUs, agreements

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Italian Republic signed 6 Memoranda of Understanding and agreements to pave the way for further development of ties between the two countries.

The documents were signed by the high-ranking officials of Iran and Italy on Tuesday in the presence of President Rouhani and Prime Minister Renzi.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the field of cultural and tourist activities and another one in the field of renewable energy production.

A framework for cooperation between the railways of Iran and Italy was also signed, as well as an MoU for cooperation between Iranian Gas Export Company and Italian multinational oil and gas company Eni S.p.A.

Memorandum of Understanding between Airports Company of Iran and Italy regarding development of Mehrabad Airport in Tehran and another MoU in the field of production of wire rod, bars and straps needed for automobile production industries as well as MoU on exhibition cooperation were also signed.
