President arrives in Kish Island

President arrived in Kish Island on Monday in order to take part in the annual forum on free trade zones of Iran.

Upon his arrival at Kish International Airport, the President told reporters: “In the forum of the heads of free trade zones of the country, programs and measures that should be taken in the current year in these zones will be planned and discussed upon”.

He also said that he is set to inaugurate Hendurabi Airport and visit and inaugurate several other plans in Kish Island.

“Hendurabi is one of the islands that can be very attractive to domestic and foreign tourists” he added.

He continued: “During the past year, roughly 2 million travellers visited Kish Island and this figure shows that creating extensive facilities and services for the people should be considered seriously”.

Dr Rouhani also referred to Economy of Resistance and said: “Paragraph 11 of the Economy of Resistance policies stresses the position of free zones and their role in the country’s development”.
