Presidents departs for Rome

Heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation, President Hassan Rouhani left homeland to Italy and then France to meet with his two European counterparts and other high-ranking officials.

Officially seen off by the Vice President and Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Supreme Leader in International Affairs, Dr Rouhani departed to Rome early Monday morning.

In this trip, President is expected to meet with Italian Prime Minister, some investors, leaders of big industries and economic bodies.

Furthermore, Dr Rouhani is to visit Vatican, meet with the Pope and the Prime Minister of Vatican city in his first leg of the European tour.

In his visit to France, he will be officially welcomed by his French counterpart and join him in some meetings, while the two countries' high ranking officials will hold their own talks.

Dr Rouhani will also meet with the Director General of United Nation Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris.

During this 4-day European tour, President Hassan Rouhani will meet with European investors, economic managers, the owners of some big French industries, hold meetings with Chief Editors of some European, Italian and French Media, visit a number of European elites and scholars, and hold sessions with owners of some industries and investors in the two countries.

During the trip, some professional meetings and meetings between Iranian and the two countries' investors and entrepreneurs of the private sectors will be held in Rome and Paris as well.
