Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi's letter of appointment reads:

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Dear Dr Mohammad Raiszadeh,

According to Article 9 of the Law of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran and your valuable experiences and the vote of the majority of the members of the General Assembly of that organisation you are being appointed as "Chief of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran" for four years.

I hope that by relying on God Almighty and striving for "justice-orientedness", "revolutionary spirit", "attention to people", "purity and anti-corruption", "rule of law" and the provisions of the "Covenant of the Managers of the Popular Government", you attempt to advance and achieve the lofty goals of that organisation.

I ask God Almighty for his increasing success in performing your responsibilities properly, serving the people, realising the ideals of the Islamic system, and especially the Declaration of the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution.

Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
