Speaking on Friday while visiting the memorial of the martyrs of Qalavizan and among the pilgrims to the holy graves of the martyrs, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "Regions like Qalavizan are the venue of self-sacrifice, devotion, martyrdom and relying on God and defending the values of the Islamic Revolution".
The President said that all people, especially the officials and managers of the system, should visit the places of the Holy Defence era to know what sincere sacrifices have been made for the system, he said, "In such holy places, whatever is needed for the excellence of the mankind is found".
Ayatollah Raisi said that if anyone listens, they can hear the message of the martyrs, noting, "The message of the martyrs is not to let the ideals of the revolution and obedience to the Supreme Leader in society diminish and justice and the dignity of the Iranian people be violated".
Referring to the coincidence of the provincial trip with the Arba'een, the President said, "These days are very regretful for those who love to make pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (AS) due to the COVID conditions, and for many years millions of pilgrims went to the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) from Mehran. Personally, I went on the same pilgrimage route several times. We hope and pray that with the eradication of corona, the conditions and grounds for the presence of millions of followers of Imam Hussein (AS) will be provided once again".
Ayatollah Raisi added, "We tried to send a large number of people from our country to Karbala, but the Iraqi government agreed with the presence of only 60,000 people and it is not possible for the host government to increase it".
Dr Raisi also referred to the coincidence of the trip to Ilam with the anniversary of the Holy Defence, and said, "Praising the martyrs and remembering the era of Holy Defence is very valuable and the victory of the country and progress depends on following the path of the martyrs and their faith and sincerity ".
In another part of his speech, the President said that the Iranian people owe a lot to Ilam province, and said, "The people of this land bravely and with a sense of reason and sincerity, resisted and stood against the enemies".
Ayatollah Raisi pointed out, "Certainly, describing the different dimensions of the resistance of the people of Ilam province makes a very thick book and we hope that we can all continue the holy and enlightened path of the martyrs".
Dr Raisi said, "Without a doubt, if we know the path of the martyrs well and adjust our lives based on it, we will not lose the divine path and we will be on the path of martyrs like Haj Qassem Soleimani".
