Speaking with the people of Ahwaz's "Manbae Aab" neighbourhood, the President said that the trip to Khuzestan in the first days of the government is a success for me and my colleagues in the government, saying, "In terms of human resources and material and spiritual wealth, with the great support of 23,000 martyrs and more than 30,000 war veterans who have sacrificed to preserve the Islamic Revolution, Khuzestan is a rich and valuable province".

The President added, "Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic, a lot of work has been done in this region thanks to the revolution, but when we look at the situation of the people, it seems that a lot of work needs to be done after this".

Ayatollah Raisi thanked the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Basij and jihadist groups that sincerely work for the people and families in the region, saying, "The work of these dear jihadist makes the heart of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution happy, because he does not want even one family to be in trouble, or a patient not to have money for his treatment and medicine".

Saying that it is the duty of all of us to serve the people, the President called the participation of jihadist forces in building different parts of the country very effective and specified, "The report presented by Mr Hajati indicated that many problems in this region have been solved and a calm atmosphere has been provided for people's lives, but we still have a lot of work to do".

Ayatollah Raisi pointed out, "I urged Mr Governor General to convene a preliminary meeting at the earliest opportunity with the presence of all government organisations and institutions to review the plans that exist to get the region out of the existing problems and for final approval".

The President said that the most important issue in Khuzestan, like many other regions, is the issue of unemployment, saying, "I hope we can resolve the issues so that families can live better than before".
