President at the meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board:

Practical, incentive measures for the development of exports and return of foreign exchange to the country's economic cycle should be pursued/ Judicial measures to meet foreign exchange obligations should be the last resort

Speaking at the meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board on Sunday, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi emphasised the adoption of appropriate and practical mechanisms for the development and prosperity of non-oil exports and said, "Practical and incentive measures for the development of exports and return of foreign exchange resulting from exports to the country's economic cycle should be pursued”.

Referring to the need to adopt appropriate strategies to remove obstacles to the activities of exporters and facilitate their activities, the President said, "We must plan and act in such a way that by removing obstacles and difficulties in the activities of exporters, the necessary incentives to develop exports is given".

Ayatollah Raisi emphasised the identification and removal of obstacles in the settlement of foreign exchange obligations and stated, "Taking judicial action to meet foreign exchange obligations should be the last resort and we must use a non-coercive mechanism as much as possible”.

Dr Raisi stated, "For those who have not acted on their obligations, instead of introducing them to the court, alternative cases should be used, except in cases where there has been a clear violation”.

Ayatollah Raisi mentioned monitoring and obtaining valid guarantees as one of the ways to comply with foreign exchange obligations and said, "By launching a system, the necessary monitoring can be done in this direction”.
