President at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus:

Supplying budget needed for education for the development of school health infrastructure should be a priority/ Facilitation for F2F education along with the continuation of virtual education should be on the agenda of the Ministry of Education

Speaking Saturday evening at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "It is necessary for the reopening of schools that while planning for the continuation of virtual education, the Ministry of Education cooperate with the Ministry of Health to compile the required health protocols in order to provide the possibility of face-to-face education gradually".

Dr Raisi emphasised, "To start face-to-face education for students, it is necessary to vaccinate all those related to the education system in schools, including teachers, principals, school service drivers and students' parents, and the possibility of vaccinating students should be investigated by the Ministry of Health".

Regarding the reopening of schools, Ayatollah Raisi stated, "By vaccinating teachers, students and even their parents, the ground should be prepared for the reopening of schools, and in this regard, the Ministry of Education should provide the necessary infrastructure and cooperate with the Ministry of Health to formulate health protocols related to the reopening of schools".

In another part of his speech, the President thanked the public, guilds, mourning groups and law enforcement forces for implementing the recent decision of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, saying, "According to the report of NAJA and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, 70% to 80% of this plan was successful".

The President emphasised, "SHAD System [for distance education] is a very good possibility that should continue to exist alongside face-to-face education of students".

"In enforcing these restrictions and lockdowns, care must be taken that people's businesses do not get into trouble", Ayatollah Raisi said.

Referring to the report of the governor-general of Fars province on the obstacles in the import of vaccines, Dr Raisi emphasised, "The import of vaccines should not be delayed and every opportunity should be used to import vaccines and the possibility of importing vaccines by the private sector within the standards of the Ministry of Health should be facilitated".

The President stressed the need to vaccinate prisoners and said, "For some prisoners who did not get vaccinated, action should be taken sooner to accelerate the vaccination process, while the Attorney General should pursue the matter if prisoners can use their leave as much as possible".

Emphasising the importance of quarantine at the borders, especially the eastern borders of the country, Ayatollah Raisi said, "Governor generals of border provinces should take the necessary measures in this regard immediately to create better management and superiority in border control".

Appreciating the efforts of all provinces, especially the universities of medical sciences and the medical staff, Dr Raisi said, "I hope that different measures will be taken in the production and import of vaccines, as well as speeding up vaccination so that people's lives return to normal".

Emphasising that no delay in the import of valid vaccines is acceptable, Ayatollah Raisi added, "Possible problems that have led to a slowdown in the import of vaccines should be investigated and if there is a problem, it should be resolved immediately".

Referring to the announcement of the readiness of the Ministry of Roads, the President emphasised, "The import of vaccines should be done continuously without transportation restrictions".
