Ayatollah Raisi in the second part of the speech at the parliament:

People's damaged trust must be rebuilt/ The country has the best opportunity for correcting many issues today/ Environmental protection on the agenda of the gov't/ We are responsible towards all ethnic groups in the country

Appreciating the representatives who talked for and against the proposed ministers and expressed their views, the President said, "One of the problems we have today, apart from the issue of livelihood and business in the country, is the important issue of public trust, which has been damaged and this damaged trust must be rebuilt".

Speaking on Saturday in the second part of his speech at the parliament session held to review the qualifications of the proposed ministers of the 13th government, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "Keeping promises can restore this trust".

The president said that there are some doubts or ambiguities about the economic indicators, adding, "We need to review the economic indicators that have existed so far".

"Economic indicators for measurement definitely need serious revision. These economic indicators, after verification, should be corrected first, and then verification, and then it should be found out that this index can be referred to by the parliament, the government, universities, and scientific and research centres," he said.

Dr Raisi said, "The government will definitely pay attention to the issue of the presence of women and the use of this valuable potential that exists for women".

The President said that this capacity can play a role in various political, social, cultural, economic and productive areas and will definitely be considered by the government.

"Taking advantage of the presence of women will definitely be considered. Utilizing the capabilities of women will not be limited to them appointing as ministers, but using the potential of women in the country will be as role-makers who have played a role so far," he said.

Ayatollah Raisi also said, "The targeted subsidy is a law. Now we must implement the law unless there are proposals to amend the law or to reform the subsidy targeting system. This issue will naturally be considered in the government, and we will submit the matter to the esteemed parliament with an expert work".

The President said that he hoped that the ministers' qualification would be reviewed soon and that the esteemed representatives, adding, "Certainly, the vote of the esteemed representatives of the government and the members of the cabinet can be a valuable support for the work and for the strength of the government in different areas and sectors".

The president stated, "Even Iranians abroad have rights and the government has a duty towards them. These are our fellow Iranians and their economic, social and cultural issues belong to this country and land".

"The best place for Iranians abroad to invest is in their homeland, in the land of their parents and ancestors. We will definitely provide the ground for Iranians to invest abroad. We are responsible for the issues of Iranians abroad, their security and rights, their fundamental rights, their personal situation and many other issues, like an Iranian inside the country," he said.

Dr Raisi added, "The issue of natural resources as the country's reserves and environmental protection is one of the most important issues in the country and one of the serious programmes of the government and the focus of the work of the relevant ministries is on this issue".

Ayatollah Raisi referred to vaccine production and said, "The first priority in the country is public health and the fight against coronavirus. Production of domestic vaccine is our priority. But as the production of domestic vaccines increases, so do we import vaccines from abroad".

Dr Raisi pointed out, "Justice in payment is very important for us, and if one group's salaries is reformed, it is good to pay attention to other groups as well".

The President continued, "One of the manifestations of justice is justice in payment. We have people who hold a Ph.D. and are working as an employee, and in the same place, there is someone with the same degree but different payment. Now is a good time for reforming many things in the country".

Ayatollah Raisi emphasised that interaction with all countries around the world, especially the neighbours, is the priority of the government's foreign policy, noting, "Our country has very good products. There is also a very good market in the region, which if activated through diplomacy, can provide the ground for exports. The government also has plans for this".

The president said, "We must activate the inactive production capacity in the country. 40% of the capacity of the country's factories is inactive. This must be activated, which requires serious and immediate action".

Ayatollah Raisi emphasised, "We respect all the provinces across the country and all the tribes and all the dialects and Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Persians, Baluchis, Lors, Turkmens and all the provinces and we believe that there are intellectuals in all regions who should have a place in the government".
