Ayatollah Raisi at the cabinet session:

COVID-related lockdown should not interrupt providing services to people

The cabinet meeting was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, and the president addressed the government members, referring to the five-day emergency lockdown aimed at curbing the fifth wave of COVID-19 in the country.

He said, "This lockdown should not interrupt providing services to the people by different organs and institutions".

Ayatollah Raisi emphasised, "In the transition period from the twelfth government to the thirteenth government, all institutions must work hard and serve the people".

The President went on to celebrate the anniversary of the arrival of prisoners of war to the Islamic homeland, saying, "We need to be grateful to the hard work and efforts that these loved ones made for the authority of the Islamic Iran".

He said, "We always wish success, health and pride for these loved ones, and it is the responsibility of all of us to take care of the situation of the prisoners of war and to pay attention to them and their jobs".

The President emphasised, "Appreciating these loved ones means paying attention to their issues and problems. We are all responsible in this regard, especially sections such as the Martyr Foundation and other sections that have direct responsibility".

Ayatollah Raisi also instructed the Plan and Budget Organisation to pay the demands of all dear veterans as based on the law.
