Japanese PM congratulates Ayatollah Raisi on start of his term

The Prime Minister of Japan sent a message congratulating the swearing-in of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of the government and people of his country, referring to the long-standing friendly relations between Tehran and Tokyo, and emphasised the efforts to develop historical relations between the two countries.

The message of the Suga Yoshihide reads, “I strongly expect that under Your Excellency’s guidance, Iran pals its role as a major country in the region to establish peace and stability in the Middle East”.

The Prime Minister of Japan emphasised in his message, "Japan also intends to continue its diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and stabilise the situation in the Middle East, and I personally would like to work closely with you".
