Ayatollah Raisi in a meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Ghana:

The current level of relations with Ghana, other African state not acceptable

Speaking in a meeting with Ghanaian Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Mohammed on Wednesday afternoon, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi thanked his Ghanaian counterpart for conveying the congratulatory message of his counterpart and said, "I would like you convey the message of the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop economic relations with Ghana when you go back to your country".

Referring to the Ghanaian Minister of Tourism's dissatisfaction with the decrease in the level of Iran's economic interactions with the country, Dr Raisi added, "The decrease in relations with Ghana and other African countries is not acceptable for the 13th government, and we will take all the potentials and capacities to develop the level of relations with African countries".
In the same meeting, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed, the Minister of Tourism of Ghana conveyed the congratulations of the President of his country to Ayatollah Raisi on the beginning of his term of office and said, "We hope that relations between Iran and Ghana develop in different fields, especially in economic fields, with the removal of obstacles".
Referring to his country's convenient location in West Africa, he said, "Ghana has a good position for economic activity and can be Iran's gateway to the continent".
