Referring to the importance of the vaccination document, the President said, "Although the path of preparing and supplying the vaccine is not very smooth and easy, but despite the restrictions that exist in this regard in the world and also due to sanctions and restrictions on allocating foreign exchange resources, considering the efforts and measures taken, we can hope that the supply and import of vaccines will reach a definite procedure with the desired speed so that there are no inconsistencies and obstacles in this direction".

Referring to the responsibilities of various agencies in this regard, Dr Rouhani added, "As the government has announced, the preparation, supply and manufacture of vaccines has been the main priority of the Plan and Budget Organisation, the Central Bank and the Ministry of Health, and of course the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also put special and effective attention on its agenda".

The President emphasised, "The priority of the government's policy is to create domestic production capacity in the field of vaccines, but in terms of time to reach the point of adequate domestic supply, time should not be lost to save lives and the country's needs should be met by importing vaccines".

Emphasising the need to implement the vaccination document, the President said, "According to the plan of the Ministry of Health, by July, 13 million people in the high-risk groups will be vaccinated".

After the report of the Plan and Budget Organisation on the amount of various support, including businesses and households affected by COVID-19 last year and support packages this year in this regard, Dr Rouhani said, "The disease itself is a pervasive and global thing and no country is immune from its damage, but the economic pressure of this disease on our country and nation has been much greater and double because Iran has fought the disease in the most difficult and inhumane economic war in the world".

Referring to the measures taken in this regard, the President said, "In the context of the economic war, despite the lowest amount of oil sales and foreign exchange due to severe enemy sanctions, the government last year took the necessary legal measures to ease the economic pressures".

Dr Rouhani added, "For the year 1400, the necessary estimates for the provision of vaccines and financial and banking support have been made and will be implemented".
