Accelerating the production and import of vaccines, accelerating the allocation of foreign currency and rial credit by the Central Bank, coordinating between various agencies inside and Iranian missions abroad to facilitate the import were the topics of discussion regarding vaccine supply.

Emphasising the priority of providing vaccines by the government, the President said, "Fighting coronavirus depends on the two principles of observance of guidelines and vaccination. As it is the duty of all people to follow the instructions, the government has set the supply and manufacture of vaccines as the first principle of all its activities".

Dr Rouhani continued, "The government has solved the problem of providing resources for the purchase and import of vaccines by allocating the necessary currency, and in this regard, none of the relevant agencies should allow the immediate supply of vaccines to be delayed in the process of administrative steps".

"According to the set priorities, vaccines must be provided to different groups of the society. Following injections to the medical staff, people in the age group over 65 years and people with underlying conditions are given priority in receiving services," said Rouhani.

The report of the Central Bank on the situation of the foreign exchange market and the bright horizon was the next topic of the meeting and the use of favourable conditions for market balance and exchange rate realisation was discussed.

Emphasising the defeat of the enemy in the economic war and their acknowledgment of the ineffectiveness of the maximum pressure policy, the President said, "With the defeat of the enemy in the economic war and approaching the lifting of sanctions according to recent negotiations, we can hope that the country's economy can return to the path of balance and prosperity of the years 2014 to 2017".

Some people inside and outside of the country are taking advantage of sanctions, said Dr Rouhani, adding, "These people are still attempting to prevent the possible decrease of the exchange rate, and continue to seek to prevent possible achievements and create fear and despair in the society and among the people".

The President stated, "Without a doubt, by maintaining cohesion and coordination in the country, we can see good achievements in the coming weeks".
