Speaking on Thursday at the inauguration ceremony of national projects of the Ministry of Energy in the provinces of Hormozgan, Mazandaran and Khuzestan in the 65th move of 'Prudence and Hope for Surge in Production', Dr Hassan Rouhani described the water and sewage treatment plants as very important and basic for supplying the people with water, and said that very valuable work has been done in this government.

Dr Rouhani thanked the Ministry of Energy for its efforts in providing the country with water and electricity, and said, "During the years of economic war, some of the country's revenues fell sharply, but a number of other revenues, including petrochemical products and the exports of electricity and gas helped the country's economy".

Investment is an important part of the economy, he said, adding, "If there is no capital, things will not go well and we need capital to be able to enter a competitive market".

Dr Rouhani emphasised, "Our production must be more than domestic demand in order to have an export market, and also according to the export market, we need to improve the quantity and quality of domestic production".

Expressing satisfaction with the inauguration of large and important development and service projects in the country on a regular and weekly basis, the President said, "Today, we have witnessed the inauguration of the 53rd national dam, the 50th water treatment plant and the 83rd wastewater treatment plant in the country".

In another part of his speech, Dr Rouhani referred to the measures taken in the field of energy production in the country in the government of prudence and hope, and said, "While until a few years ago we imported many petroleum products, including diesel and gasoline, today and after successfully passing 3 years of fully fledged economic war, we are an exporter of diesel and gasoline".

The President stated that with the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran's oil exports increased from about 1 million barrels per day to more than 2.6 million barrels per day, even in those days, he said, "In those days, good resources of oil sales revenue were injected into the National Development Fund, which has contributed a lot to the completion of these projects".

Dr Rouhani further said, "In the Government of Prudence and Hope, there has also been a great transformation in electricity generation from renewable energy and about 80% of production capacity is generated from this place".

The President also referred to the report of the Minister of Energy on the planning to continue the opening of projects in the field of water and electricity until the end of the year 1400, noting, "I have repeated many times that although the term of Government of Prudence and Hope is ending in about 100 days, we should not just think about planning for these few months, and all actions and planning should be focused on the entire year".

Dr Rouhani referred to the statistics of water and sewage treatment plants in the country and comparing it with water and sewage treatment plants built in the Government of Prudence and Hope, and stressed, "These achievements must be informed to the people so that anti-revolutionaries do not get the opportunity to disappoint people".
