1st VP reports on his visit to Sistan and Baluchistan province/ New decisions to solve problems and development of Sistan and Baluchistan province

The cabinet meeting was chaired by President Dr Hassan Rouhani on Sunday evening, during which the First Vice President presented a report on his two-day visit to Sistan and Baluchistan province.

In this meeting, which was held in accordance with health protocols and in both face-to-face and online, the problems of Sistan and Baluchistan province, especially in the field of Chabahar Railway, gas supply to all cities, villages and other areas of the province, fishing problems in Chabahar and Zahedan were discussed and the necessary decisions were made.

During the visit, First Vice President Dr Jahangiri also visited the important projects for the development of Makran coast and the plan to revive 46,000 hectares of land in the Sistan Plain and examined the issues and problems of each.

Following this report, it was decided to form a working group consisting of the Plan and Budget Organisation, the Ministries of Agriculture Jihad, Energy, Interior and the Governor-General of Sistan and Baluchistan to form a proper administrative organisation within two weeks with the aim of managing the system of taking advantage the huge 46,000-hectare Sistan project.

At the meeting, some amendments were made to regulations for start-up companies.

The Council of Ministers also approved sample statutes of research and technology funds.
