EHR launching second phase in Healthcare Reform Plan/ Appreciating all those involved

The Electronic Health Record (EHR) was inaugurated on Tuesday in a ceremony with Dr President Hassan Rouhani taking part.

The President ordered the launch of the system in a ceremony that was held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

While ordering the launch of the system, Dr Rouhani appreciated all those involved in the establishment of the system and said, “This fulfils one of the promises of the government aimed at promoting citizens’ rights and e-government”.

 “Today, we are happy that people’s old wish has been fulfilled,” said the President.

He went on to describe the system as the beginning of the second phase of the Healthcare Reform Plan, saying, “This project will bring satisfaction to many citizens, increasing their welfare”.

“In addition, by using the Electronic Health Record system, healthcare fees will be reduced and it will be very valuable for doctors and future research,” he said.

The Electronic Reference System has passed the test period with 44 universities nationwide, accounting for 85 per cent of the country’s population, taking part.
