Speaking on Wednesday at the session of Administrative Council of Kermanshah Province, President described Kermanshah as “a province that raises heroes, both in defending and developing the country”.

He continued, “The government has spent 68 trillion rials for the water project in the western part of the country”.

He went on to appreciate the hard work if all people who have contributed to the completion of the project and said, “Today, one of the biggest water projects in the history of Iran was opened”.

“All armed forces, the government, relief agencies and people were beside each other in Kermanshah earthquake and the recent floods throughout the country,” added Rouhani.

The President also went on to say, “The hard work of the armed forces, the Red Crescent Society, Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, governor-generals and governors, and people was excellent”.

Stating that the damages caused by the floods are very heavy, Dr Rouhani said, “The government will repair and compensate all the damages one way or another”.

“In the recent 40 days, 32 billion cubic metres of water has been added to the dams across the country,” he continued.

Stating that the enemy is seeking the toughest economic and psychological war, the President said, “We will win over them under our unity”.

“As a person who has been with the Islamic Revolution since its beginning in 1963, as well as the Imposed War [with Iraq], I recall that the conditions were very hard,” he said.

He also said, “Today, we need to understand that we are not in normal conditions. The 11th Government did a lot to remove the obstacles that people had. Of course, some think that war is hard but negotiation is easy, but as a person who has experience both, I tell you that without a doubt, negotiation is not an easy job and has its own complications”.

The President added, “We were alone against world powers both in the war with Iraq and nuclear negotiations, but we could win the negotiations. Of course, the enemies are claiming that the United States has signed the worst deal in the history of the country”.

“Since the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2016, Iran has not violated it, as confirmed by the IAEA. Therefore, we were not the initiator of this process,” added Rouhani.

He continued, “People should know that Iran has never been the first party to violate its commitments under the deal”.

He said, “An administration took office in the US that is violating all their dealt and international commitments, making problems for the entire world, and the Muslim nations. America was the first party to violate the deal”.

The President added, “The negotiating parties are violating the nuclear deal with Iran, and the US is at the top. But the other parties to the JCPOA did not fully live up to their commitments either”.

Dr Rouhani went on to state that the enemies have designed a plot against the Iranian nation, adding, “They claim that Iran must work within the framework of what they say in regional matters and those related to defence and advanced technologies, including nuclear matters”.

“If we want to have interaction with our friends in the region and be able to satisfy our own needs in defence areas, do we need to ask for their permission? We will not ask anybody’s permission for boosting our defence power,” said Rouhani.

“Opening infrastructural projects is the most important field of development,” said the President, adding, “This year’s non-oil exports will be more than last year”.

Stating that, “We need to increase production and minimise smuggling,” Dr Rouhani added, “Today, increasing exports and boosting production is a great national responsibility for all of us”.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also went on to say, “America has made problems for us with its economic pressures, but it is politically isolated”

He continued, “The United States is at the top of global terrorism by violating international regulations, denying the rights of the Palestinian people, designating Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as terrorist group, and preventing the delivery of medicine to the people of Iran”.

“The fact that earthquake-hit houses have been reconstructed in just 18 months means that our people are alive,” continued Dr Rouhani.
