President at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus:

Observance of health protocols to be monitored in air and land transportation/ Legal and financial support of domestic vaccine producers a must

Emphasising the need for serious measures to prevent coronavirus and to avoid any form of normalisation, the President said, "All agencies and institutions across the country must continue to be prepared to fight against coronavirus”.

Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the removal of some COVID-related restrictions in the country, and said, "The main priority is protecting the health of students, workers and all people, and the reopening procedures must be replaced with smart methods”.
Criticising the weakening of health practices in land and air transportation, Ayatollah Raisi said, "Observance of health guidelines should not be weakened by the decline in statistics and indicators of coronavirus".
Emphasising on updating the COVID-19 prevention procedures, Ayatollah Raisi said, "The Ministry of Health should cooperate with other agencies to update these procedures”.
Emphasising the need to support Iranian vaccines, the President said, "Our country's scientists and specialists made a valuable effort in the production of domestic vaccines, which should be supported legally and financially".
Ayatollah Raisi continued by appreciating the efforts and sacrifices of the health and medical staff, and emphasised, "The payment of the demands of the medical staff across the country should be done with high priority”.
In another part of his speech, the President considered it important to encourage and persuade people to be vaccinated, and said, "It is necessary to explain the impact of vaccination on the society to see an increase in vaccination and reach statistics of over 80% in this area".
