The president's visit to the province was his 27th provincial visit to various provinces. <br /><br /> President Ahmadinejad took the initiative of visiting various provinces aimed at bringing the government closer to the people since he came into office in 2005. <br /><br /> While in Fars, President Ahmadinejad toured 24 provincial cities, met local residents, elites and war veterans and delivered several speeches. <br /><br /> He also presided over a cabinet session in Shiraz in which 150 plans and proposals aimed to remove provincial problems and facilitate development process in Fars, were approved. <br /><br /> A number of major decisions made by the cabinet in Shiraz included providing financial facilities to create job opportunities, supporting investments by private and cooperative sectors, publishing cooperation bounds for railroad construction projects in the province and providing financial facilities for provincial housing projects. <br /><br /> Shiraz, Fars prov, April 21, IRNA 0 3824
