President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with visiting Burundi's Minister of External Relations and International Cooperation Augustin Nsanze.

President said expansion of bilateral ties plays a vital role in paving the way for progress of the two nations. He underlined that there is no hindrance to bolstering of cooperation between Iran and Burundi.

Nsanze, for his part, submitted the written message of Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza to his Iranian counterpart.

Burundi believes the world is changing and the US and Europe are on the verge of collapse,“ he said, adding some countries, Iran in particular, which enjoy vast potentials and capabilities would play an effective role in the future of the world.

Nsanze stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys a notable position across the globe, adding Burundi always supports the Iranian nation's rights in international form.
