President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has extended an official welcome to his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, who is in the Iranian capital city, Tehran, on a four-day official visit.

During the ceremony held in Tehran on Monday, the national anthems of the two countries were played and the two presidents reviewed a guard of honor. <br /><br />

Dr.Ahmadinejad and Gul have begun private talks at the Presidential Office. The two presidents are scheduled to speak to reporters following the talks. <br /><br />

President Gul arrived in Tehran on Sunday at the head of a high-ranking delegation upon an invitation of his Iranian counterpart. <br /><br />
