President Rouhani met with the families of miners who lost their lives in coal mine explosion and said that the incident was a wake-up call for all the authorities.

At the meeting that was held on Sunday, the President also stressed that continuous supervision, setting safety regulations and advanced safety equipment were essential in insecure workplaces.

"Have no doubt that the entire Iranian nation sympathise with you and whenever incidents happened, the kind people of Iran have been beside the victims and their bereaved families," the President added.

Stating that a human being's life cannot be compensated, he continued: "Nobody, except the Almighty God, can compensate a lost life and the Almighty will bestow rewards to on those who are patient".

"Those responsible for the incident ad anyone who has had failure and negligence in carrying out their duty must be identified, and with regard to that fault, they face the consequences and there is no exception in this regard," Dr Rouhani continued.

He continued saying: "The respective ministers must come to the area again and I urge the Governor General to visit the families anywhere in the region who lost their loved ones, trying to solve their problems".

President Rouhani also stressed that continuous supervision, setting safety regulations and advanced safety equipment were essential in insecure workplaces, adding: "In the Charter for Citizens' Rights, there is an article that stresses safe and healthy workplace and we must try to implement it precisely".

We all are responsible in this incident and we must compensate the shortcomings, said Rouhani adding: "In our country, we need to use the modern technologies and facilities to secure our workplaces and if there is no such equipment somewhere, work must be stopped there".
