President Rouhani headed for Tehran

President Hassan Rouhani Left New York for Tehran late on Monday to leave his trip to the 70th annual session of the UN General Assembly unfinished in order to participate in the funeral of the Mina stampede victims.

In his trip to the United Nations, President Rouhani addressed the General Assembly and the Summit of Sustainable Development and elaborated on the Tehran’s viewpoints and stances regarding regional and global issues. He also held meetings with top authorities from Russia, France, Britain, Italy, Bolivia, japan, Ecuador, Afghanistan, and Senegal. He also had meetings with the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the European Council.

He also had meetings with members of American think-tanks, Iranians residing in the US, Iranian intellectual elite and entrepreneurs residing in the US, managers of commerce, economic, and industrial companies of the US, and a group of managers and senior editors from International media organizations.

President Rouhani also had interviews with NPR and CNN.
