A report by the Media Department of the President's Office said President Ahmadinejad congratulated the people and government of Ireland on the occasion.



"Iran as a country with high potentials in the Middle East and Persian Gulf regions and Ireland with its major role in Europe can help promote regional and international peace and stability," said the president in his message.



He stressed that Tehran-Dublin cooperation would serve the interests of Iran and Ireland.
