According to the Information and Press Bureau of Presidential Office, at the meeting, Ahmadinejad pointed to common interests and goals of two nations, expressing Tehran's readiness to put its precious experiences and achievements at the disposal of Laos.



He made the remarks after receiving the credentials of the Laotian accredited ambassador to Iran.



The president noted that his country can cooperate with Laos in agricultural, industrial and scientific fields.



"Prosperity and progress of the People's Republic of Laos can be materialized given the willingness and efforts of its government and people," Ahmadinejad added.



The Laotian accredited ambassador to Tehran, for his part, said bilateral relations between Iran and Laos are increasing, adding, "I will make efforts to expand mutual ties with an aim of bringing nations of the two countries closer to each other."
