
Ahmadinejad Badawi stress continued consultations
Iran and Malaysia on Tuesday stressed the importance of continuing consultations and exchange of views to settle problems of the Islamic world.
In a telephone conversation held between Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the sides discussed the pressing regional and international developments.
"The ongoing situation in the world moves in a direction in favor of independent and free nations. Islamic states should hold consultations about developments in Palestine and Lebanon," Ahmadinejad said.
Badawi, for his part, voiced willingness to pay a visit to Iran and said resolving problems of Muslims need consultation among officials of Islamic countries.
