President Iranian nation defends nuclear rights
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Thursday that Iranian nation defends the nuclear rights enshrined by Non-Proliferation Treaty.
"Success in the nuclear field is the outcome of the nation's resistance and unity, adding that Iranians will do their best to defend their relevant right.
The chief executive made the statement at a gathering of people in the town of Anbarabad, Kerman province, in his 28th provincial tour since he took office as president.
"Today, Iran is in possession of complete nuclear fuel cycle.
Besides, under the support of the nation, Iran has planned to use nuclear energy for power generation. It is also used in agricultural and medical sectors.
"The enemies and ill-wishers of Iran seek various pretexts to prevent the advancement and development of Iranian nation on different occasions. And today, they aim to stop our progress under the excuse of concern over production of nuclear weapons," he said.
Ahmadinejad said that Iran's adversaries are willing to stop Iran's advancement by launching propaganda and psychological war and misusing international bodies.
"That is not true and they are not actually concerned over production of nuclear weapons and eruption of war."
He said that all enmity, corruption and problems facing the world of today are actually rooted in the hostile approach.
