
President calls for cooperation with East Asia Pacific states
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday advised Iranian Ambassadors to East Asia-Pacific states to develop cooperation with the host countries.

In a meeting with the ambassadors, he said that Iran is keen on expansion of multi-faceted relations with various countries, including the East Asian and Pacific nations, based on mutual respect and the principles of justice and spirituality.
The president said that respect for humanitarian principles and upholding justice in foreign policy will encourage various countries to broaden their ties with Iran.
He said that the ambassadors have effective role in introducing Iranian culture to foreign nations and that they are representing Iranian ethics and Islamic culture in other countries.
The chief executive pointed to the numerous potentials and talents of Asian and Pacific states, saying that besides getting an idea on the capacities of the host countries, Iranian envoys can look for their expertise in economic, industrial, scientific, medical and technological fields as the grounds for cooperation with them.
Meanwhile, the president emphasized the need for plans on establishment of relations with various countries through organizing regular conferences in those countries under the auspices of Iranian Foreign Ministry.
Prior to the president's speech, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki presented a report on outcome of the conference of Iranian ambassadors to the Eastern Asian and Pacific nations.
Besides, a number of envoys presented reports on the latest developments in their host countries and their programs to broaden ties with the relevant states.
