President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Sudanese capital of Khartoum this afternoon for Tehran.

He was seen off at the Khartoum International Airport by Sudanese President Hassan Omar al-Bashir and Iranian Ambassador to Sudan Javad Torkabadi.



President Ahmadinejad in this one day stay in Khartoum held talks with his Sudanese counterpart on development of bilateral ties and other issues of mutual interest.



The two sides issued a joint statement at the end of their meeting calling for promotion of the two countries' ties at bilateral, regional and international levels.



Arriving in Khartoum early in the morning, Dr. Ahmadinejad met with a group of Sudanese people from various walks of life.
