During interview with Al-Jazeera Net work, on the sidelines of travel to UN headquarters, responding to a question on the formation of Palestinian independent state, president Ahmadinejad asserted: “Palestinian people did exist before and during World War II too, so the formation of organ naming Palestinian state of is a strange issue, the Palestinian people have the right to have their own state and govern it, However, global structures and some powers have deprive them from their right.



President said that Palestinian people do exist during history; they are strong and if UN does not consider them are away from its real duty.



Dr.Ahmadinejad added that even if the current Palestinian leaders do not obtain their right in Future some leaders will come to their satisfaction.



President said: “Nobody can erase Palestinian people from history, 65 years-trying of colonial powers to do so have failed.



“The Palestinian people have existed but some people violated their right and are now looking to restore it, “President added: “what Islamic republic of Iran distinguishes for Palestinian people is more than what they want to give this nation.



President added: “The formation of Palestinian government after decades of struggle is a step to approach full rights of this nation.

President responding to a question about the reason of presentation of formation of Palestinian government said: “Finally, the United States and its allies concluded the Zionist regime is unable to continuing and has reached the end. They have to recognize the Palestinian government, but they intend to take maximum points from this issue.



Responding to a question on regional developments president said “Governments and nations must resolve their problems through negotiations, and other [countries] have no right to interfere in their internal affairs.”



On Syria issue, president said: “Regional nations can assist the Syrian people and government in the implementation of essential reforms and the resolution of their problems,” the president said.



As for Libya, where there has been intense fighting, he said the people have a right to be free but he strongly opposed the NATO bombing campaign and claimed the goal of the U.S. and its allies was not to protect civilians but to go after control of Libya's oil wealth.



Responding to question on Iran’s nuclear issue, Dr.Ahmadinejad insisted Iran's nuclear program is peaceful and repeated an offer to meet with world powers to discuss nuclear issues. But he also warned that "the nuclear issue has been manipulated and turned into a political issue."



President underling that the Iranian nation have integrity and in their word because they are not afraid of any power and do not need to conceal their intentions said: “If we want to build a nuclear weapons we have the courage to announce it openly, when we say we do not want to make it we are not doing that.
