Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport, termed his two-day state visit to Tajikistan as 'very fruitful’, he said during the visit the two sides signed agreements on construction of new hydroelectric power plant which is regarded as one of the greatest achievements of his visit.



Inauguration of Sangtudeh-2 power plant was among significant projects implemented by Iranian experts a gift from the Iranian nation to the Tajik people on the occasion of their 20th Independence Day, he said.



Iranian experts are now engaged in construction of a huge tunnel connecting center of Tajikistan to northern parts, he said.



The visit helped deepen relations and cooperation between the two countries, underlined the Iranian president.



Given their historical, religious, cultural and traditional commonalties, the two nations share common stands on global developments, he said.
