President made the remarks on Monday, at the inauguration ceremony of Peyvand Golestan cement factory, and the Ali Abad Katoul combined cycle electricity-generating power plant.



President Ahmadinejad emphasized that Western hegemonic powers are currently experiencing very difficult economic conditions and they are trying to find a way out of their current economic difficulties by printing dollars and euros, but that this strategy was unlikely to work.



In further remarks, President Ahmadinejad described the political situation facing the hegemonic powers as also very difficult, arguing that in order to save themselves politically, western politicians might try anything.



President Ahmadinejad added: “For example, we all saw how the previous US president used the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, with the real aim of saving America’s economy, and saving the Zionist regime.



President Ahmadinejad went on to describe the Zionist regime as the focal point of Western domination and influence in the Middle East region.



Elsewhere in his remarks, President Ahmadinejad said all efforts by the dominant Western powers to save the Zionist regime over the past 15 years have failed. He added: “Today, they have changed their slogans, they are trying a new approach with the same old objectives, and they have come up with new schemes to save the Zionist regime and America’s economy, but without a doubt, this time too, they will fail in their schemes”.
